Whew. Long time, no chat! It has been a busy month, to say the least. But, I return to you with a wonderful new recipe that I think you all will L.O.V.E.
No, it’s not delicious cupcakes.
First, a quick update on what I have been up to…
I’m a high school track coach, so I have been spending a lot of time here:
I am also working with the Pittsburgh marathon on the kids and 5k portion of the race, so I have been spending a lot of night’s at meetings.
My family and I are running the relay portion of the marathon (so much fun!) so my feet have been hitting the pavement as usual!
Then there’s my sweet girls at Girls on the Run. They have been working so hard to prepare for their 5k in May!
And, of course, we are just about 50 days away from saying “I do”! We have been wrapping up a lot of details lately and having a lot of fun in the process.
Like the fabulous girls day my sister and Matron of Honor planned for me last weekend. Shoe shopping, manicures, makeup and a delicious dinner were all part of the fun.
Love that girl.
The day after “girls day” it was my bridal shower day. SO.MUCH.FUN.
Just perfection.

I’ve been wanting to try my hand at making a homemade, all natural shampoo for quite some time and I finally dug in earlier this week. It just takes a few simple ingredients and you’ll have your self a great, natural option for hair care.
When washing your hair, just spray the mixture right on your head and rub it in. I needed about 8 spritzes.
I really love how this shampoo makes my hair feel. Oftentimes, regular, store bought shampoos can leave hair feeling heavy and as if a bit of a residue was left behind. With this shampoo, my hair feels light and clean.
First shampoo making experience = SUCCESS!
If you give this a try, let me know how your version turns out and how it makes your hair feel.
Peace and Love.

Question! Could you sub in another oil like Lavender Essential Oil (my fav)? Or is the Peppermint an important part for the cleansing/stimulating process?
Lavender is a great swap! Peppermint oil balances the ph levels of the scalp. It also stimulates the scalp and increases circulation and stimulates the hair follicles, which promotes regrowth. Lavender has been proven to help stop hair loss. Bonus: it is a natural stress and anxiety reducer! Let me know how you like it with the lavender!
Love this! The shampoo sounds WONDERFUL!
Thanks! It is GREAT!!
